How does a marriage survive a home renovation? With patience. Until there isn’t any. And then with perseverance. We didn’t simply survive a home renovation. We lived through a home renovation. As in, we lived in our house as it was being renovated.

I love communication in all its forms: oral, visual, written. I admire great communicators of the past, and how they shaped history with their words: Churchill, Lincoln, the Roosevelts, Reagan, Martin Luther King. I love those who communicate their Christian faith ably and nimbly, from those who write – C.S.
As we get ready for summer, we are all itching to celebrate the joys of summer: sunshine, water, summer picnics, barbecues, and more. Unfortunately, all of us are anticipating the same summer bliss and most likely showing up in crowds.

Memorial Day this year is different. It’s different because we are in the middle of a pandemic. Traditionally, Memorial Day is the start of summer in the United States. People gather, take trips, enjoy time at the beach or a lake. Our family does as well. Now, we are all trying to plan in different ways. We ask: What should we do?

Two weeks ago, EIC (Emmanuel International Church) Paris hosted us in a quick video podcast with one of their pastors, Parker Windle. This was another opportunity to introduce our story of moving to France. EIC Paris, two locations in Rueil and Ternes, is affiliated with the International Baptist Convention, a global network of churches based in international cities. Paris will be our home base for an indefinite move.
